St Petersburg, Russia — March 22, 2019:  Nexign, a leading Business Support System (BSS) and  Internet of Things (IoT) platform provider, today announced that it is a finalist for TM Forum’s 2019 Excellence Awards in the Operational Transformation and Agility Award and the CTO of the Year Award categories. The Excellence Awards program honors the world’s leading companies for their innovative achievements spanning digital transformation, business and IT agility, customer centricity, cross-industry partnering and collaboration, and product and service innovation.

TM Forum’s 2019 Excellence Awards attracted nominations from leading communications service providers, suppliers and vendors from around the world. An annual awards program in its thirteenth year, the Excellence Awards highlight companies that demonstrate commitment to the evolution of the industry through digital transformation, adoption of best practices and standards that TM Forum delivers through their Collaboration Community.

Nexign has been recognised for its BSS deployment that supports the digital transformation of MegaFon, a pan-Russian communications service provider (CSP) that operates across all segments of the telecommunications market, with more than 76 million subscribers. Nexign’s end-to-end BSS stack is built to meet the operator’s digital monetisation demands based on DevOps, CI/CD-based methodologies. It delivers a unified digital experience framework, omnichannel sales and care, partner ecosystem enablement and network monetisation capabilities through its industry leading rating and charging engine. With a cloud compliant vision, architectural openness and TCO optimisation, Nexign’s stack supports dual-speed architecture to ease legacy-to-cloud transitions that are particularly important for digital transformation projects in emerging regions.

Loukas Tzitzis, Nexign’s Chief Products and Marketing Officer has also been named a finalist in the CTO of the Year Award category. Loukas has spearheaded the design and launch of Nexign’s new product portfolio for CSPs seeking to become digital service providers (DSPs). These products include Nexign Digital BSS, Nexign Network Monetisation Suite and Nexign IoT Platform. Loukas was also instrumental in establishing the partnership with Bubbletone and subsequently, introducing to the market the industry’s first blockchain-driven BSS solution. In addition to his product and technology responsibilities, Loukas was the driver of the company’s successful rebranding in 2018 and the building of strategic relationships on a global scale.

“Congratulations to the finalists of the TM Forum Excellence Awards 2019. “We are delighted to be recognised as a finalist for the TM Forum 2019 Excellence Awards, particularly for the project with MegaFon, where the two companies worked, not just as a vendor and client, but as one team with one set of goals to help the CSP achieve its strategic initiatives.’’ said Loukas Tzitzis, Chief Products and Marketing Officer at Nexign. ‘’Nexign has always had openness at the heart of its culture and development efforts and we consider TM Forum as a strategic platform―beyond compliance to the eTOM, TAM, SID frameworks, we fully align with TM Forum’s emphasis on Open APIs and collaboration, as two of the critical success factors for our industry. We firmly believe that digital partnership ecosystems, together with creation and delivery of an outstanding customer experience across DSP’s own and partner products, will be at the core of DSP strategies.”

TM Forum will announce the winners of the Excellence Awards during a special ceremony at Digital Transformation World on Monday, May 13th, 2019. Winners will also receive recognition during the opening keynote perspectives session on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019.
